Your column was extremely well written and bluntly true to the point. Thanks for sharing such great input and quote.
Just wanted to let you know that this absolutely nailed the current situation. While I don't feel any better about the whole thing it certainly puts into words what so many of us have experienced. Thanks for your perception and sensitivity. Till then we will keep grinding.
Wow a voice of honesty, directness, kindness and thoughtfulness--now that is something to be celebrated.
XXXXX just sent me a copy of your article What's happening on the job front? I could relate to many parts of it. Thanks for articulating what many of us are feeling these days. The movie reference is right on and frankly I would rather read the book than star in or see this movie again but it is the nature of the lodging business to have these cycles.
Mine was one of those General Manager resumes that tripled the capacity of your e-mail inbox the first quarter of this year. After almost 20 years with Ritz-Carlton, I found myself looking for a new opportunity. I'm still looking and fully understand the need for persistence. One of my sayings is ?kill resistance with persistence?. I know it's just a matter of time before a General Manager will leave a job for which I'm the perfect replacement. I just wanted to say thanks for your What's Happening on the Job Front? article. I found it encouraging and it certainly set you apart from many other recruiters.
This article is right on and you're right... the pressure is enormous at this point on everyone and with the economy starting to show signs of life, this will get better, and hopefully sooner than later..
Thanks for your perceptive piece What's Happening on the Job Front?. In times like these we (more than ever) appreciate our jobs as a significant and valued investment. You have a good vantage point; your article gives players a vital glimpse of the score. A good guide going forward, much appreciated.
Your outlook on the current employment situation is a dynamic and profound one. It actually is a feel good message in a stay the course lesson. As I sit here looking for a better "Port of Call" I tend to stray back and look at the overall picture and my operational prowness steps in and from the outside looking in can see some quick fixes in my previous property. I want to keep quiet but my professionalism wants to help. I did and it made sense to my previous employer as they move on with my strategies I sit here looking forward. So as I stay the course it is a reminder to never burn the bridges and to continue to be a leader in the industry and a mentor as often as possible. Thank you for the breath of fresh air.
Good morning, I hope all is well. Nice article today, very educational and oh so true!
Your article is terrific. Loved it! It sure will give many people encouragement. Frank, you do a terrific job. Hope to talk to you soon.
Excellent article. Nice to know I am not alone in the last four months.
Great message and insight to our industry and the dilemma many of us are faced with. I have also seen this movie before and have experienced to pain of loosing a position largely due to circumstances beyond my control. I continue to search for a position in the industry as an experienced seasoned DOS&M. The market is difficult and continues to change daily. There is an old adage that says. ?When business catches a cold our industry has pneumonia.?
I love this article on "What's happening in the Job Front?? Keep the Faith and Stay on Course" has been the motto. My position of Corporate HR Director was eliminated in December and I have been trying to look for employment for the last 6 months. The market has been difficult for HR Professionals and definitely saturated with talent.
I really appreciate the message and hope to find a GM I can give a hug too soon.
I just finished reading your article; the content could not have frightened me anymore than Stephen King at his finest.
Just like to say that your article was very uplifting and well worded all around. Thank you for the words.

Nice job with the article. It is very well written and rings true with me.
I read your article as a client not a friend and I can tell you that it was not only on point, but something everyone needs to hear right now. Well done, is an understatement.
This is absolutely fabulous!!!!! I have forwarded to many of my contacts. Have you ever thought about writing a book, or becoming a public speaker?
